In year transfer
There are two main reasons why you might be applying for a school place other than at the time of the normal admission round (Yr R/3/7):
- you might be moving house
- or may be unhappy with your child’s current school.
If your child is experiencing problems at his or her current school, you should first contact your child's tutor or head of year. They will be able to discuss the issues your child is experiencing and attempt to resolve the situation.
If you wish to apply for a secondary school place, you should then contact us to obtain an in-year transfer form. If you would like to apply for an infant/junior/primary school place, you should contact the school you wish to apply to direct.
Appealing against a decision not to admit
In most cases, parents and carers have the right of appeal against a schools decision not to admit their child. If you would like to appeal, please contact us and we will send you the relevant papers to complete. Please note that appeals can take between four to six school weeks to arrange, and the decision of the appeal panel is legally binding for all parties involved.
