Libraries in Southampton


Welcome signSouthampton libraries are your gateway to a world of reading, information, knowledge and learning. Anyone is welcome to use the library to study, read books, find information, ask a question, meet friends and generally relax.

Library Catalogue - The catalogue is an online database that lists all the books , DVDs, CDs and other types of material which are available for you to borrow. With your library card and PIN you can also renew and request library items, view your library record or use the 'Quick search' facility to find a book you have read and award it a 'star' rating.

Online Resources - Access 'Online databases' for free e.g. Encyclopaedia Britannica, dictionaries and business databases such as Keynote reports and Cobra. All you need is your library card and PIN.

Membership is free and you can join at any library or join online.
